Court of Appeal to handle 50 cases in 10 days

A total of 50 Civil Appeals are established to be managed by the Courtroom of Attraction in 10 times as the fight against case backlog normally takes form.

The appeals will be heard in between June 20th and June 30th, 2022 by Justices Elizabeth Musoke, Muzamiru Kibeedi, Christopher Gashirabake, Irene Mulyagonja and Eva Luswata.

According to the causelist issued by the Courtroom of Appeal Registrar, HW Susan Kanyange, the cases which are going to be listened to ended up submitted concerning 2013 and 2022.

Some of the appeals to be handled incorporate that of the administrator of the estate of Sir Edward Muteesa, the first President of Uganda towards Dr Muhammad Kasasa, who are battling around ownership of a prime land in Mutungo, Nakawa Division.

The land below dispute is in Kyadondo Block 237 Plots 178 and 388 at Luzira/Mutungo.

Other appeals consist of that of Nakivubo Street Previous Kampala (Kisekka) Market place Vendors Confined from Geoffrey Kayita and a few many others in regard to Kisekka marketplace land.

Also the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Hon. Girl Justice Jane Frances Abodo is battling town lawyer Alex Bashasha in a further charm.

This is the third session to be held by the Courtroom of Attractiveness/Constitutional Court in the past two months.
