.Putin Assembly with long-lasting associates of the Protection Council (held by means of videoconference)

.

We have an issue on our agenda that is not linked with the current gatherings. But initial of all, I would like to ask our colleagues attending this assembly if they will need to exchange any information and facts on the current functions.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon, colleagues.

Mr Shoigu, remember to. Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu: Mr President, We are proceeding as planned, as we have been reporting to you each individual day this 7 days.

I would like to suggest 3 issues for discussion and to ask for your approval. Vladimir Putin: Go forward, be sure to.

Sergei Shoigu: We are receiving a huge variety of requests from all manner of volunteers from various nations, who would like to come to the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics to take component in the liberation motion, as they say. The largest quantity of requests, over 16,000, has appear from the Middle East. We feel that we should really grant these requests, specially since the matter does not worry money but a genuine desire of these people. We know many of them they aided us struggle ISIS in the most tough period, throughout the past 10 decades. This is the first stage.

The second, Mr President. In light of the uncontrollable arms deliveries to Ukraine from all parties (it appears that nobody is wanting where and how significantly of these weapons are staying delivered and who they are becoming issued to), as we have pointed out numerous periods, we propose turning the air defence programs, for example, guy-transportable SAMs, and anti-tank missile devices above to the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics to build up the combat means of their militia. In addition, we have seized a large range of Ukrainian weapons, this sort of as tanks, armoured vehicles, all types of small arms, and artillery devices. There are also lots of Javelins and Stingers. We recommend transferring them to the Lugansk and Donetsk militias as well, so that they can protect their republics extra successfully.

Last but not least, the third and more major problem, Mr President, and I am asking for your acceptance. The General Staff has analysed all the measures taken by the West to beef up their forces around Russia’s western borders. New units are arriving just about every day, and they are deploying them at a time when unquestionably almost nothing threatens them. Yet, we feel that they want to take benefit of this condition and to saturate the area along the border with forces and resources to the maximum extent, and they will without doubt want to preserve this scenario for a long time.

For that reason, the General Personnel is drafting and has approximately finished a plan for reinforcing Russia’s western borders, such as, in a natural way, with people new modern-day techniques and the deployment of military units to defend our western borders.

We are waiting for your instruction, so that we can report on our proposals at the next Protection Council assembly or in any other structure, for their subsequent acceptance.

Thank you.

Vladimir Putin: All suitable, thank you quite much.

Relating to the mobilisation of mercenaries from all around the world and sending them to Ukraine. We can see that Ukraine’s Western sponsors and the Ukrainian regime are not concealing this simple fact. They are undertaking this brazenly and neglecting norms of international law. So, if you see that some volunteers would like to come and help the people in Donbass, in particular without the need of pay out, then we must satisfy them midway and help them relocate to the war zone. This is the first point.

The second, regarding weapons deliveries, specially all those of Western weapons that have been seized by the Russian Military. I, of course, assist the decision to hand them over to the military units in the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics. Please do this. I am ready to issue any resolution that might be required at my end.

The third issue deals with the reinforcement of the Russian Federation’s western borders in view of the NATO countries’ steps in this place and in response to what they are accomplishing. This calls for a separate dialogue. I would like to ask you to prepare a report on the issue individually. We will make the decision adhering to its dialogue in the near potential.

Thank you.

Allow us proceed to the current item on the agenda.

Supply: President of Russia
